Since in my 20's, I've owned long term rentals. I’ve spent most of my working life as my Father’s right hand in his business, taking most of my waking hours. The other hours, were mostly spent caring for my disabled mother.
My folks passed away a few years ago. By that time, despite being the favorite Aunt to my siblings children, it was too late for children of my own. I never married, choosing to remain single, looking for Mr. Right, rather than “Mr. Not-Right” for me.
Some Vacation Owners, do the cleaning and upkeep themselves. I want to continue to LOVE my Vacation Rentals, so I have a professional cleaning crew and local maintenance crew. I handle everything they don’t... Guests, calendars, bookings, you know, the fun stuff.... which allows me to be a bit of a tumble weed, offering unusual freedom, as long as I’ve my iPad and internet.
